When is the best time to get into the Halloween spirit? In July or August?

I'm in the mood all year round, but generally the end of July to August is the time I really start getting excited. That's because most stores start getting in their Halloween loads, and everything just starts feeling more like Halloween. Pumpkins and lights in regular stores, people starting to decorate their homes, Halloween stores opening around, and haunted houses opening (though hopefully that will go well this year despite everything that's happening,  I love going to those). 

I usually start thinking of Halloween and planning for it by August 10, particularly choosing and then preparing a costume.  However, I don't really get into the Halloween spirit until October.
