How to answer the negative question?

The other day I watched TV drama here in Japan. It is the conversation

between a Japanese woman and a Taiwanese man (both speak English.)

at a Taiwanese restaurant. Because of unusual taste, she makes a wry

face and then he asks her:

HE : You don't like it?

SHE : No, No, I love it.

My question is, though her answer is affirmative, why she says, "No,

no" which is negative.

Thank you for teaching me

Update:

Is it common that native English speaker answer this way?

She says "No, no" because she is refuting his assumption. When he says "You don't like it?" He's assuming that she doesn't like the food, and is asking for confirmation. She DOES like the food, so she refutes his assumption by saying "No, no."
