Can I have peanut butter and oatmeal while trying to lose weight?
this lady on a healthy eating group is telling me PB has too much fat and sugar and oatmeal has too many carbs. I thought these were good for protein and fiber? Obviously I'm talking about a serving size of peanut butter....

I eat peanut butter every day and I have a BMI of 21. Fats are good for you. There are essential fatty acids that you must have. Fats can take up to six hours to digest, so they satisfy your appetite for a long time. I lost 50 lbs and have kept it off for 14 years with no trouble. Eat meat, fat, non-starchy vegetables, whole milk dairy products, and eggs. They have the best quality nutrition. Avoid carbohydrates, but oatmeal should be alright.

Absolutely! My favorite breakfast actually. I eat it every morning and look forward to it haha I also put frozen blueberries in it (when you pop them it turns a really pretty purple...and tastes kinda like blueberry syrup haha) also would like to mention I’m VERY thin, and there was a point where I lived on peanut butter...just not over my limit of calories.

If you're one of the lucky ones that can eat just two tablespoons of peanut butter(2 bites)and then stop, go for it. Oatmeal is gross.

I suggest making your own peanut butter so there are no additives or fillers just grind peanuts in a food processer then add a few spoons of water till you get the right texture, as for oatmeal, I highly recommend it, make sure you are getting a lot of fruit and vegetables as well
