    There are several weapons in Asian martial arts that uses variations of a chain or rope with an attached weight, dart or blade to one end. Ones that use a rope (or even a cloth sash) are referred to as

    "rope" + whatever instead of chain.

    Some examples are:manriki chainscorpion chain dartchain whips (some have a pointed dart or blade attached)
