Were Twitter right to censor Trump latest outrageous Tweet?

Trump has had a tweet warning people protesting in Minneapolis over the death of George Floyd while being restrained by Police saying they could be shot.

This comes after two recent tweets flagged with a warning which fact-checked the claim that mail-in voting would lead to widespread fraud.

Trump has responded by signing a new executive order giving authorities more control over social media sites.

In your opinion were Twitter right in flagging Trumps Tweets or should he be allowed to say what he wants without censorship?

Update:

Update: Trump has either last night or early today said he would shut Twitter down if it was up to him and legal for him to so.

Twitter has not only the right but the DUTY to moderate content posted on its platform.  If Trump wants to say what he wants, he needs to set up his own platform ... but he would still have to comply with the law about what is or is not legally acceptable to say.

It is disgraceful that any president should not know how to conduct himself.

It is disgraceful that any president should try to control a free press. No honest, decent president would do that.

Twitter has not censored Trump's rant. It is still there in full. Twitter has simply flagged it as not in accordance with acceptable conduct.

I am a total supporter of Donald although I am an Englishman and  have posted Tweets supporting him and  look forward to him being re-elected,although I have always thought he should he should have suspended his membership of Twitten while he was in that high office. Barack Obama was a member of Yahoo Answers before he was elected but didn't post on Answers after his election.

Let me ask you another question. Are we right to silence those who dissent against the mob?

Not trying to get any dislikes, just asking a question.

That wasn't censorship, they allowed his tweet.  They just posted correct information to go with it.  Trump is the one who employs censorship.

Twitter wasn't censoring Trump.  Twitter was just cautioning that the post needed to be fact checked.  As for shutting Twitter down Trump is just bluffing.   If Trump couldn't do his daily tweeting he would go berserk.

The big irony here, being that the changes Trump IS trying to enact will force Twitter to censor his posts, he's not very clever...

No. it was an opinion about the problems with mail in ballots, he never pretended it was a fact. The whole scandal is staged anyway, they are preparing people for the shutdown of the internet.

Twitter has actually been lenient in applying its policy on tweets glorifying violence because Trump's tweet has been made accessible instead of being deleted. Flagging Trump's tweets making unsubstantiated claims seems good for democracy if the same is applied to other politicians' unsubstantiated claims in the run-up to elections.
