If I kick a ball with a force of 1N, won't the friction acting on the ball also be 1N, and the net force will be 0? Then, how does it move?

    If you kick the ball by 1 Newton, than the ball will apply a similar and equal force on your kick.

    The friction force (Ff) equal to µ x N(=mg) will act against the 1 Newton force applied by your kick on the ball, whereas m is the mass of the football and the µ is the co-efficient of friction between the to surfaces.

    If Ff = 1 Newton, only in that case the ball will not move.
