is it possible to cover a teargas canister with something to reduce its effect. EX a wet towel or wrap in a plastic bag etc.?
i notice that protestors are getting gassed, what if they had wet blankets at the ready to throw over the canisters, would that neutralize the gas?
maybe a bucket then? if protesters carried a bucket for every 5-10 people to instantly cover any canisters before they run away or does the canister spray too much too fast immediately

A person can try, but that gas and smoke is being dispersed by a very, very hot chemical action.
Skin exposure may cause chemical burns or induce allergic contact dermatitis, even asthma.
Kicking the canister away, using baseball bats to bat them away, in the air or ground.
I have never seen anyone cover them with wet cloths.People who have wet cloths tend to use them on themselves.
