What year was macaroni and cheese invented ?

It goes as far back as the 14th century hun.

In America, it was thought to have started with Thomas Jefferson's daughter, who made it for her father. Kraft foods came up with the first box mac and cheese in 1937. It is also believed that the Italians had their own version back in the 1200's already.

Kraft first sold its boxed product in 1937. Thomas Jefferson introduced pasta with cheese to the US from his experience with it in France (and he brought a pasta maker back with him - mac n cheese was first served at the White House in 1802). The first recorded recipe dates to about 1769, with a French bechamel sauce with cheddar cheese added, served with macaroni.

The combination certainly existed before that; it's just not written down anywhere.

A VERY LONG TIME BRO, its only in the last 100 years someone thought of putting the two together. Sadly IT FAILED miserably and they went bankrupt. Then, in the early 20's a guy called Thomas Jefferson who was at a lose end just put the two together one cold summers night after having a massive row with Mrs Jefferson.It WAS AN INSTANT HIT with the wife and the kids and the neighbours.
