Which is the best marble or tile for flooring?

    Neither.  Both are porous and subject to stain.  A tile floor is actually a soft grout floor.

    marble is a ‘soft’ stone, that means is can be abraded, it is porous and can be stained, it will need to be re-polished and/or re-sealed occasionally 

    most tiles have a hard glazed finish that won’t wear as quickly or absorb most household stains
