No, I wouldn't. I might if I was the one who became disabled because I know I would have mental issues from the disability - I don't feel it would be fair to my spouse if I had a bad attitude. And I would want to leave my spouse before my spouse left me. A lot of people end the relationship including ending their marriage after their spouse becomes disabled. I think there is a vow they need to remove, - "through sickness and through health". This vow means physical illness and mental. I THINK BEFORE YOU MARRY SOMEONE, YOU SHOULD TALK ABOUT THIS. Tell your fiance that if she was ever to become disabled, you would leave her. Be honest before getting married. It's never okay to deceive someone you are marrying.

I wouldn't end the relationship. It would be a lot to take on, that's for sure, because now I'm not only lover, wife, friend, I'm caregiver on top of all that, too. What people don't like to do in this situation is 1. Ask for help, 2. Talk to a therapist about it and get mental help themselves, and 3. Take time out for themselves once in a while to regroup. People get very resentful when this happens, feel under-appreciated, and feel like it's never enough. 

Not really. That would be a very shallow thing to do.
