Why do people say meds are so dangerous when they are more helpful in most cases?

People just like to be negative. Medication saves thousands of people every year. Don't listen to the nay sayers.  

Because regardless how helpful they are they aren’t helping your liver and kidneys; often times they fail first

Lots of people get addicted to painkillers and go on to do harder drugs like heroin. Also powerful drugs like Adderall and Vyvanse are given to children with ADHD. Medicines alter chemicals in your body and can have a profound impact on your hormones. Doctors are the biggest drug dealers. That being said, medicine (besides painkillers) used to treat a temporary illness are rarely considered dangerous. If your doctor prescribes you something, it's probably best to take it.
