Do you think colleges will last the whole semester this fall? Or do you think they will be forced to shut down?

One theory I have heard is that colleges are just "planning" to go back to school to deter students from taking the semester off that way they make more money. People I have talked to are split: some say the semester will be completely online, while others say it will be done in-person. Thoughts?

If the numbers don't start going down, I don't see how they can open at all.

without a vaccine or a cure....many  are predicting this will come roaring back in the winter.

i personally think they will open up but face masks will be mandatory. the way i see it is yea it is a money issue and the only way to suck that money up is to open everything up and deal with the constant cases otherwise we will continue to lose revenue and after so long more businesses will suffer and be forced to shut down.

in a way your not just closing someones business down your taking away their income to provide for themselves and or their own families.

i personally love online courses but ironically even at my college despite everything is online for these classes they still made it mandatory for us to go into a classroom and do the work which tbh is a huge waste of time. why is the class online yet we have to come into a class room just to do our work? some of us catch the bus, work, w.e. it was basically to give a person a job. if people needed to use computers they can go in for sure but outside of that i mean to make it "mandatory" is completely ridiculous.

btw that was a class i had already passed but because they actually combined 2 classes into 1 both of which i had passed prior to getting my culinary degree i had to retake this "new" class all over again. such a huge waste of money btw.
