Can a employee have personals items be deliver at his/her job?
I was thinking about having personal items delivered at my job due to having my family members getting it or checking it before me, of course I need to check with manager to see if it’s ok. Nothing much, usually a dvd, cd, stuff like that. What you do think?

Lots of people are doing that. They don't want their stuff sitting on the front porch all day because of the increase in porch pirate activity. It depends on where you work though. Check with your manager to get their approval first.
I once worked for a company that had an entire mail department where employees could send and receive their mail so it was a huge convenience (of course we all lived on the property too!)

Absolutely check with your manager first before doing this. Most employers do NOT allow this but then every employer is different also.

There is no law preventing that so it is up to your boss but don't be surprised if people at work open it up because they "didn't see" that it was addressed to you.

If you are in a small office where it won't be a burden on someone else it's probably fine. Of course you should get your manager's permission first. With so many porch pirates out there, it makes sense to have things shipped to a more secure location.

An employee could do this however it is not appropriate, nor an employer be receptive to this idea. If you have privacy concerns for your mail and your family will not respect this then I would think best to pay a subscription for a post office box, or have these items delivered care of a particular post office, if they still permit this idea.
In Australia there is a free service called a parcel locker. You sign up for these online selecting the location of the parcel lockers you prefer, given a membership number, which is connected with an email and mobile phone number, to advise you parcels are available to collect, and giving you a unique code. Once parcels are delivered to a parcel locker you have 24 hours to retrieve them, with a unique code. If not collected in time they are left at the closest post office for you to collect. Useful service but they are not for normal letter mail.

I did that once and all of a sudden my place of business began getting inundated with catalogs and ads addressed to me. They were NOT happy campers and I was told that I couldn't do that again. Not only that but I had to write to everyone to cancel that address.
So don't do it unless you get the OK from your employer - even then your manager might not know what he's letting himself in for (all those catalogs and other mailings). You'd be better off getting yourself a PO box or using General Delivery if you don't want items sent to your home.

Most companies frown on that practice.

Unless it is a one off occurrence and for a very special occasion i.e. a wedding ring or your kids 16th birthday present, no I wouldn't even bother asking.
