Is it normal for a wood bee to kill and eat a ladybug?

Today i was weeding my garden and my brother saw something on one of my corn plants so we investigated and we saw that a wood bee had a dead ladybug in its mouth. I couldnt get a picture because it flew off too soon, but is this normal behavior for a wood bee?

The bees don't prey on ladybugs but may oppertistacaly feed on one.

They are not much to scavange either.

May have been a female taking food back for her offspring.
