How do you forgive yourself for making stupid decisions?

I recently made some stupid decisions and didn't use good judgement. I feel embarrassed. I feel guilty, ashamed, and remorseful. How do I get over it?

Hey, you've always been making some stupid decisions. We all do. We try to learn from them. Let's face it, we live life in real time and we use our best judgment. Sometimes we get it horribly wrong. Everyone has done things they feel bad about. It's just part of life. Hold your head high, and if someone is rude enough to tease you about your mistakes, just laugh as say, "I don't know what I was thinking! Boy can I be dumb sometimes."

Just think of it a certain way. Think at least "Maybe that was best".

All you need to do is drop it.

    You'll forget soon.

Don't be too hard on yourself. People make mistakes all the time. That's part of life. If you don't make mistakes, you don't learn, you don't get stronger. The greatest and the best are those who learn from their own mistakes and mistakes of others so they won't have to repeat them ever again.
