I was told by the police here in Quebec that it is legally considered child abuse to raise my kids in an environment that is exceedingly detrimental to my child's wellbeing.
I was asked by the police, these questions... And these were my answers.

A. Yes.
Q. Has your child ever come home with marks, cuts, bruises and/ or abrasions or contusions ?
A. Yes.
Q. Has your child ever ever received medical treatment for injuries sustained outside of the home ?
A. Yes.
Q. Has your child failed a test or multiple tests in school as a result of name calling and injuries and associated emotional trauma ?
A. Yes.
Q. Has your child ever been exposed to glorified violence or to materials of which he is underage to view while outside of the home ?
A. Yes.
Q. Has your child been exposed to repeated violence or verbal abuse toward himself ?
A. Yes.
Q. Does your child have access to the means and opportunity to commit violence outside of the home ?
A. Yes.
Q. Do you believe that your child's abusers and your child both have the means to go unpunished when they victimize other people outside of the home?
A. Yes.
Q. Do you believe that violence from your child would be glorified or validated or rewarded outside of the home ?
A. Yes.
They told me that it is my parental legal responsibility to find more suitable housing for my child or they will take my child away from me.
:)
They also told me that they will provide financial help with finding a more suitable place.
I took the help.
:)
My question is why don't the USA do the same or similar ?
