Every year during flu season everyone one should wear a mask.  This is a wonderful idea, right?

Flu activity peaks between December and February, but activity can last as late as May, so wearing masks 5 months out of the years should be adequate.  I know Democrats would agree with me.  It's better to be safe than sorry.

The Chinese and Japanese figured that one out many years ago. That is what they do.

Also in Japan whenever anyone has a slight sniffle, he or she wears a mask so as not to infect others. Every winter lots of people go to work coughing and sneezing. Every workplace should make it mandatory for anyone not feeling well at work to wear a mask. That would save the companies a lot of money and stop the spread of colds and flu. I know I will wear a mask from now on whenever I am out shopping and in close proximity to other people, even if coronavirus ends.

Masks have been accepted as a fashion accessory in some Asian nations since the last go round go N1H1 and it may be why they were better prepared for this. But outside of a few fringe freaks this isn't political. In that respect it may simply be the Darwin principal at work.
