Why did Yahoo remove the ability to make comments to answers?

You are doing a disservice by removing the reactions.  Many times the articles contain false info.  Are we just suppose to let the lies stand.  Why are we being censored.  With the virus, many use it for social interactions and comments.  I am a sane person.  If I don't have a place where I can correct false statements made by trump, etc., where do I vent.  Unstable people could become more unstable.  I definitely will be finding another news source.  Freedom of speech is being squashed.  Those who go to yahoo only to read the articles don't go to the comment section.  Yahoo is not the media police.

They are just trying to protect you idiots from yourselves. 

Yahoo,. like the rest of the liberal media, does not like people who are not liberals. They feel that only they, the liberals, have the right to freedom of speech. Blatant censorship at its finest. That is the socialist/communist media for you.

I do not know why they removed them. I cannot read the comments to find out why. 

The same reason google has blacklisted anything from Brietbart, pragerU, dailywire, dailycaller, the blaze, theFederalist, reason, theWashingtonexaminer, nationalreview, etc.  - - Oh yes, you can certainly still find articles from these sites using google, but they will be Waaaaaay down the list. 

As an example, on April 4, 2016 Breitbart ranked 355 key search terms in the top ten on google, July 2020 they had ONE. While the same time period they ranked 16,820 search terms in the top 100, in 2020 they had 55. 

Yahoo, google, FB, and many others on the left are in a concerted effort to scilence the right and anyone who disagrees with their politics .

Yahoo has a clear political agenda that is at odds with 2/3rds of its readers.  The comment section was a direct affront to their editorial opinion, and a threat to their propagandist motives.  Readers are going to leave Yahoo in droves for other media outlets that permit comments.  If I was a stockholder in Verizon Media -Yahoo's parent company - I would be screaming to the board of directors: demanding the resignation of Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer.  I guess Verizon likes loosing money.

This was done to censor conservative talking points.  Their left leaning (all) articles were continually debunked by conservatives which in turn left Yahoo looking very amateurish and foolish.  Also, their repeated articles about what each celebrity was wearing each day garnered lots of criticism from people who saw through those articles as nothing more than liberal propaganda to try to get hard working people to worship celebrities and thereby buy their crap movies and crap products.  Liberals claim to be about the poor but they are really about the rich especially the rich that do not deserve it (celebrities).
