Easy military jobs?
My boyfriend wants to join the military and I don’t want him to. I’m aware that would mean him being away from me for long periods. I would be more accepting if it was maybe for 5 years but he wants to make a career out of it. He told me that I can’t convince him not to go and that it’s something he always wanted to do. He told me however that if we were married and I decided to join, we could have housing together on base. The thing is, I’m not interested in military. What are my options? If I join, I want something simple. Preferable with more freedom. If I don’t join, what are some more options so that I get to see him often?

Tell your boyfriend to seek out more information from other sources, or visit with a recruiter as he seems to be lacking some basic knowledge of how dependency works. Once your BF does decide to join an Active Duty service, he will be sent to any duty station in which that branch needs him to go. This could be overseas or in some random U.S. state.
The easiest way for you to be with him is for you two to be married. And as his dependent, you will be sent wherever he goes. You do not have to join the military to go with him. Simply being married will. However, that is a commitment you should think really hard on before deciding.
