Current address on rental application?
So Im recently staying with a friend until I find a place to move into (I'm not paying rent, just need a place to stay). I had to move out of my apartment (my last day to be there is August 2nd.). Should I put down my friends address, where I'm staying right now, or the address I just moved from? I'm just a little confused of what to put down

First off before you consider using your friends address you need to ask her for permission.
Second, what have you put down on your post office forwarding change of address, where will you be receiving your mail? This is the address you should put down.

You put down both. The last place you rented and where you are currently living (state that it is with a friend).

The address you're staying right now. ie where they'd address any letters etc.

Yes you put your friend's address were you are currently staying. Your old address goes on previous address.

It depends upon the application. They usually will need both. By now, your contact address is your friend's house. Your apartment, and maybe the one before that are references. Is your friend renting or owning his place? A visitor normally is thirty days maximum until the owner needs to approve. You need to be able to receive mail somewhere, either on his/her mailbox or rent a mailbox.
