I am having problems/technical difficulties connecting my Nintendo Switch to my TV any advice would be appreciated.?

Well first of all this was not a problem at all yesterday as yesterday and earlier this week it was working fine and no problems whatsoever.  Now though i come home from a long hard day of work hoping to play my Nintendo Switch on my TV and my TV for some reason keeps saying "HDMI 1 No Signal (1) Check the cable connection and the settings of the source device. (2) Or, press the source button below to select a connected source.  I am no Techie person but i assume that means for whatever reason my Switch is refusing to connect to my TV.  I checked a few things out thought.  My Blu Ray/DVD player (plays Blue ray and DVD movies) connects to my TV fine.  I only have 2 HDMI Cables and both of them work on the Blu Ray/DVD player without fail but when i connect the Nintendo Switch with either of the 2 HDMI cables it still fails to connect to the TV.  I am at a loss as again im not a Techie/Tech savvy person.  Is it more Likely i need to replace 1 or both of the HDMI cables or is it Likely i need a new Nintendo Switch Dock?  I ask it like this as the Switch itself does play without connecting to the TV fine while not equipped to the Dock.  Although when it is docked and everything is hooked up to the TV and everything else is plugged into where it needs to be for this to run normally its like sure it gives me the same jargon about "no signal" and such but yet the green light on the bottom of the Nintendo Switch is still on regardless.

Update:

So is it likely i need a new HDMI cable or two

Or

Do i simply need a new Nintendo Switch Dock?

Whichever one it may be depending on your answer (speaking to anyone that answers this question/poll) what is the cheapest way to get 1 or the other depending on what you the people that answer this recommend?

Update 2:

On a side note i put this post in this category as i figured those that were gamers like me and play Nintendo Switch might be ones that might just know about this kind of thing as surely those that own this console like i do have either had issues or know people that have had issues like this.  Well...       that is my reason for putting this question/poll in this question/poll category anyway.

Update 3:

I have one theory but i do not know how possible it is for said theory to actually have a chance to be true though.

The theory is that sense the weather has been really hot lately is it possible that while i was stuck at work all day that something fried in my Nintendo Switch Dock (if it is indeed something to do with the Dock).

Not trying to sound like a broken record here i am just merely trying to add all the info i can so whoever answers this can better help me figure out what to do.

Update 4:

I mean its good to find out as much as i can before i randomly go spending money on the wrong item by mistake as if it is that i do have to replace something then i at least know what it is i FOR SURE need to pay for to replace.

It sounds like you need a new dock.  Obviously if the cables work with other devices, they aren't the culprit.
