What does it mean when my dog puts his paw on top of my hand?

My dog does this when she wants attention.

he/she is training you to sit .... and then he barks .

It loves you so much that it’s waiting for the engagement ring

It wants some attention.

Attention seeking. 

I don't know that it means anything but just wanting some attention.

He wants attention and to be petted and touched. He knows what your hand does and he is telling you that he knows what it does and for you to do it.  

it means that it has put its paw on your Hand simply of course

It may differ dog to dog, but when my Whippet does this, it means she's after my attention.   She tends to do this when on the soft, towering over me on my chair.  Hum.
