Dishwasher problem?

Hi. I have a hotpoint slimline dishwasher. Quite a new ish one. The water doesn't drain properly from the dishwasher, there's none in the actual dishwasher but like underneath or somewhere? Every 2 washes the warming light comes on and it stops. So I have to tilt the the dishwasher back and a lot of water comes out of it. Then it does a wash but the second one it happens again. I've checked the drain house and that's working fine and no blockage. Any ideas? Thanks

    Is the dishwasher level?

check youtube for a video how to clean your specific model of dishwasher. The problem is usually some sort of screen or filter before the pump's inlet which has become clogged with various bit of detritus -- pieces of paper from jar labels, broken bits of glass, etc.

This isn't included in the owner's manual ... they'd prefer you get frustrated and buy a new one.

I have done this several times with other models and successfully restored full function and at zero cost

Remove the filter and see if the outlet is blocked or obstructed. The discharge pump may be failing. Or the connections to it may be insecure. Turn off the power, bail out the water in the sump and lay it on it's side. Check the connections to the pump. Replacing a discharge pump is a simple matter and they aren't particularly expensive online.
