Have you burly realized that women hold all the power in the dating seen, either you like it or not.  As a man, trying to get women is like walking in a land full of landmines. 

There's a whole movement centered around your line of thinking. MGTOW. Men Going Their Own Way. It's too late for me, I already bit the bullet and invested too much time and money. If I got out now, it would cost me the rest of my life. I can't say that I would have lasted all this time without being in a relationship, I would have given in at some point. It is a lot of effort, and it is hard to do. The way most women treat men in this day and age it is very often not worth it. It is exhausting and expensive. That's why some men are "going their own way" The system in place offers little benefit to men anymore. If you decide to put in the effort, know you will be doing it until you die, and the companionship is worth it if you can find someone who actually cares about you. The alternative is lonelier, but so much easier, and if you stay focused can be very rewarding down the line if you feel comfortable just being with you. .
