Any pros moving to Seattle ? ?
I’m from Southern California live in Orange County I’m want to know if there are any pros moving to Seattle ? From the research I’ve done Seattle is about the same as far as cost of living in some cases more expensive. Washington has no state income tax however sales tax is high and property taxes. Seattle has a downtown which we don’t here but California weather is better thoughts ?

That's all personal. What one person might find a pro another might not. One major thing to take into consideration is there will be a major climate/weather variance. Do you like a lot of rain and gray days and freezing winters? If you have never lived out of California and can afford to move, do it for the experience you won't know if you like it or not until you try it.

Seattle doesn't have an active downtown like Chicago or NY.
It closes after-work, more than DTLA does.
There are surrounding neighborhoods like Queen Ann and WestLake that has bars.
OC and Seattle are not the same politically/socially.
Imagine the difference between OC & SF... then double that and you have the difference between OC & Seattle.
You would have to pay me a lot of money (as in millions) to move from OC to Seattle.
= it's a nice place to visit but zero desire to live there.

You are used to sunshine. You won't get it in Seattle. But your air quality will be better.

The rainy season lasts 9 months. Gets a little depressing. Might be difficult for someone from Calif to get used to.
