help regarding going to Lake Moraine, AB, Canada?
I've never been to Canada and want to plan a trip to go canoeing at Moraine Lake and snowboarding at Lake Louise but i'm a little confused about Banff National Park. Should I fly into Calgary but stay at a hotel closer to Banff National Park? Then would I take a shuttle to go to the lake and snowboarding as they are 40 minutes away. Would I need to rent a car to get from the Calgary Airport to Banff National Park or are there shuttles? I'm trying to do it the cheapest way possible so any help would be greatly appreciated.
This was obviously for when corona is over. I just wanted to know for future reference. Why the hell would I go to Canada in August during a pandemic?? Even if I could I wouldn’t want to. I actually care about my life and others

There is nothing cheap about Banff! It is super well known, and therefore super popular. So, it is very expensive as well. There are other places as good, but, people do not seem to know about them, which is a pity, as many have very few visitors. \
You can do as you have laid out here, but, bring money; staying in Banff is expensive!

Americans cannot travel into canada for tourism. Borders are closed due to virus and will be until USA gets the virus under control.
There is a hostel in Lake Louise that is much closer to Lake Moraine. You might consider Canmore, a town on the border of Banff National Park. Calgary is ok, but it's at least an hour to Moraine lake. Public transportation is limited. Better rent a car in Calgary.
