In each episode of "The Cosby Show," is Clair Huxtable a defense attorney or a district attorney? It's what I like to know, please?

    Probably not a district attorney, since that would mean working for the government, and they never mentioned that.

    In the show, she's neither.

    Just like most attorneys.

    She's a partner in a law firm, specializing in Legal Aid.  She's not in Criminal Law.
