I just finished The City We Became by N.K. Jemisen.  Can't wait for the next book in the series to see how things play out.

  • Gathering of Waters by Bernice L. McFadden. It was beautiful, unusual, original and I definitely could have read more of it.

(I slowed for The Crimson Petal and the White, too!)

Hm. Good question there. I'll go with City on Fire.

The last book I can recall deliberately slowing down so as to eek it out was "the Crimson Petal and the White."
