Should we boycott all american companies if they do not allow employees to wear MAGA hats and shirts at work?    ?

The issue with Michelin isn't that they prohibited MAGA hats, It is that they prohibited Maga, Blue Lives Matter, All Lives Matter, etc, but SPECIFICALLY ALLOWED BLM, and similar messages.

I don't have an issue with prohibiting ALL controversial statements by employees. Taking sides is where I draw the line.

That is up to each individual to decide much they support boycotts, how they balance their feelings between supporting a cause or trend and the desire or need to use a company or product.and if a company only bans items that supports one political view or all political messages.
