NBA players are under the impression I watch them play basketball to inundate myself with woke left wing agendas. I don't, I watch sports to distract myself from that nonsense. Why are they trying to ruin the league?

Sports don't exist in a silo. If you can't understand that, don't watch sports.

It used to be an unwritten rule that when you take sides publicly you (usually) cut out half of your audience. Journalism is the biggest example. But sports is catching up. I don't think that you can put the toothpaste back in the tube after you declare what side you're on.

Actually they are under the impression that as figures in the public eye, they have a better chance of making a positive impact in the world. And they're right.
