Pros and Cons of a degree in communication and marketing?

I just graduated with my bachelor's degree in communication but now I am thinking about going back for a degree in marketing I want to work in public relations combined with marketing  is it worth going back to school?

    You don't need a degree in marketing -- you probably have some of the skills already and you can also problem learn those skills without going back to school.  I'd strongly suggest you do your best to find a job in PR and work for a couple of years. You'll see whether or not you like it, are good at it, and if the career path is what you want.  You probably can also pick up a lot about marketing on your own which will help you decide if you'd like to transition.

    Most entry level marketing jobs ask for a BA/BS in business, marketing, communication OR SIMILAR field.  Employers hire skills not majors.  You'll be better off with a couple years of job experience than a couple years taking more classes.
