Would it be worse to be blind or deaf?

Being blind would be worse. Being deaf wouldn't be too bad. You can do most things normally. You wouldn't need someone to help care for you. The worst of it is communicating with people but you can still write and people can learn sign language. Most deaf people don't even consider themselves disabled. That says a lot. You can live a completely normal life even if you are deaf.

Blind because people will victimize you and you won't know it... also if there is danger... you won't know which way to run... someone who is deaf can see that people are running away from danger... if you're blind, someone could be stalking you and you wouldn't know it until they harmed you. People who are blind are always talking about how people victimize them... people who became blind in adulthood often can't have jobs. People who are deaf can work without a problem. Most things in life are seen, not heard. People are who blind often don't walk alone in public... they walk with a friend... it's to prevent victimization. It's actually quite dangerous to be blind, especially with so many evil people in the world.

Being blind is objectively worse. Because if you were dear at least you could see where you're going, at least you could have quiet entertainment. And at least it would be an excuse to not talk to people. But being blind is especially awful in these Covid19 times, I'd rather shoot myself than go permanently blind.

Blind. If you just look at the US tax forms, there's an exemption for blind, but not for deaf, acknoledging what the writers thought was worse.
A deaf person with an iPhone can get around in an unknown city without any additional help. They can look at a mass transit map, see that they need the #16a bus, and can hop on. A blind person can use the bus, too, but probably would need to ask people what bus had just pulled up, and would need to go down the aisle asking whether a seat was taken or not.

It would be much worse to be deaf, There is help to be had for deafness, but being blind is dreadful as you cannot replace eyes.
