Uhmmm, ur coming during a pandemic. A lotttttt of our places are still closed. Our governor has made some openings for the state, but left individual counties to decide further on openings. Nightclubs are closed. Movie theaters are closed. Gyms are closed. Malls are closed. No indoor dining is allowed. Its all outdoor, if open at all. The hotel pools are not opened(used to be lots and lots of fun) and the ones who have chosen to give it a shot have severely limited capacity and all thats missing is a tumbleweed. Clothing retail on Melrose, closed. Not trying to be Debbie Downer, I just dont want u to come here and have a crappy experience and think LA sucks! Its all about the scene and the energy and ur not gonna get that.

if you're going to see family or do business it's one thing, but if you're going to go out and enjoy things in los angeles this is not the time.

My biggest tip right now would be to wait until things are more universally open to come. Unless your L.A. dream trip is to sit in a hotel room and order takeout you probably don't want to be here right now. So pay attention to the various press conferences. The Governor often speaks on Thursdays and the L.A. County Health Dept. tends to do theirs on Mondays. Things are changing fast and the rules differ by the week. Fingers crossed you'l be able to enjoy all we have to offer in the not too distant future.

Suggest you go tripadvisor.com and look at the things to do in Los Angeles, link provided: https://www.tripadvisor.com/Attractions-g32655-Act...
There is a lot of options. Los Angeles "metro area" covers a lot of square miles and traffic can be a bummer, where you could find yourself tied up in a traffic jam for hours. Suggest you look at the options and decide what is most interesting to you.
