Why are other countries putting so much effort trying to steal vaccine progress?

If or when a vaccine becomes available the U.S.A will share it with the world as a humanitarian gesture either way.

Too many people are putting their hopes into a vaccine.

If there ever is one, it will probably be less than 70% effective.

Keep doing what is proven to work --- distance and physical protection.

Because it’ll save the country a lot of money. Trillions of dollars went into research and trillions more will go into producing the vaccine.

The country that makes a successful vaccine first will be able to restart the economy before the other countries. That’s a huge advantage. That’s going to restart the economy and give a moral boost to the people.

The US isn’t developing a vaccine. Private companies are. Each country has their own oversight agencies and approval process. Whatever companies develop a vaccine will sell it wherever they can. The US government does not own any rights to any treatment or vaccine.
