I want to change my religion. ?

You are making the correct decision - I can assure you.  All human beings are, from birth, born spiritually dead in trespasses and sins (the sins of Adam which we inherited in our flesh through his genes) and only CHRIST can make us alive (Ephesians 2: 1 & 5). Jesus Christ is the second Man or last Adam - He is the life-giver - that's everlasting life  (1 Corinthians 15:45)

Because we were born dead like that through one man Adam (1 Corinthians 15:22) we must be made alive by Christ, so Jesus Christ said, "You MUST be born again" (John 3:6).  In fact, He said, "Unless a man is born again he cannot SEE God's kingdom and unless a man is born (again) of water (that's baptism) and Spirit (that's Holy Spirit) he CANNOT ENTER God's kingdom" (John 3:5).

That's why Christ gave the Great Commission to the Disciples and Christians who are themselves converted, to "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to EVERY creature, baptizing those who believe in the Name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit and teaching them to observe (that means obey) all things whatsoever Jesus commanded, etc.(Matthew 28:19)   "Preach the gospel to all nations"  "He who believes and is baptized SHALL BE SAVED but he who does not believe shall be damned" (Mark 16:16).

The reason everyone needs to hear the gospel is that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God (Romans 10:17) -  (which is preached or read in the New Testament about Jesus and how He went about doing good, healing all the sick and saving folks, and without faith, it is impossible to please God for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him (Hebrews 11:6).

If you read John chapter 3 you will see that a Pharisee called Nicodemus (the Pharisees hated Jesus) came to Jesus secretly by night and asked Him about the miracles He was doing.  That's when Jesus told Nicodemus you must be born again.  I think Jesus even said to Him "Are you a Teacher or Leader in Israel and you don't know these things?"  Then Nicodemus asked Jesus about how a person could enter into his mother's womb again and be born, so that's when Jesus explained that natural birth was NOT what Jesus was talking about at all - because that which is born of natural flesh is flesh - but Jesus meant Spiritual birth because that which is born of the Spirit is Spirit or spiritual - it's all in John chapter 3.

We must be born all over again - not of the will of man or of blood but of GOD (John 1: 12 & 13).  Unfortunately for me to give you every little detail, it would take too long an answer, so I would recommend you begin to read the New Testament in the Bible for yourself to see how Jesus died on the Cross to save us all.  It's not God's will that anyone perish but that ALL should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9) but those refuse Jesus Christ's offer of salvation which is the gift of God's grace to all who will come to Him humbly - those self-sufficient ones who will not submit cannot be saved, and they will end up in torment in Hell's flames for eternity.  Many don't believe it but unfortunately, they will find out to their cost one day unless they repent soon.

All you have to do is to Repent - that means be humble and sincere and ask for forgiveness for your sins - because you are not only born in sin - we all are, but we then go on to sin all of our lives because we have a sin nature inbred into us from Adam.  God said He used to overlook ignorance but now commands all men everywhere to repent (Acts 17:30).

When I repented of my sins I asked Jesus to forgive me and come into my heart, because the Bible says, "Behold I stand at the door and knock, if any man will hear My voice and open up the door I will come into Him and sup with Him and He with Me" (Revelation 3:20).   A few weeks later, I went to be baptized by full immersion as commanded by Jesus (Matthew 28:19 & 20) and Peter, etc.  "Repent and be baptized every one of you, for the remission of your sins in the Name of Jesus Christ and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit" (Acts 2:38).

It was the best day of my life.  All my sins we washed away.  Jesus Himself washes us FROM OUR SINS, IN HIS OWN BLOOD. (Revelation 1:5)

In baptism, we 'die' and are 'buried' with Christ by baptism into death, etc.  We are actually CRUCIFIED with Christ so that we are no longer slaves of sin (Romans 6:6) because our old man - that's the old Adamic sin nature gets crucified with Him, and he who has 'died' is freed from sin (Romans 6:7).

I can't write too much because of the length of the answer, Yahoo may not accept it.  I will pray for you.  I would advise you to join a Church too - Baptist or Pentecostal will baptize you properly by full immersion.  The others only Christen with a spot of water on the forehead.  They call it Baptism - but it isn't baptism at all.  Christening is not biblically correct. We must ceremonially 'die' and be 'buried' with Christ, in order that He can then raise us up to walk in NEWNESS OF LIFE (Romans 6: 3 & 4) because only if we have been identified with Christ in His death this way can we be in the likeness of His RESURRECTION (Romans 6:5)

I was raised in idolatry .. buddhism. Its demon worship .. Fact.

Been a christian for 30+ yrs .. no regrets.

God is good to me. 

Make sure the church u go to .. does not speak in tongues !!!

No catholic church .. demon worship.

Do research .. names of christian cults .. stay away fm them.

Last but not least : PRAY to Jesus to lead u.

I have often said I would rather have a neighbor who is a practicing Buddhist than a Baptist who isn't practicing his religion or belief system.

Buddhism is a good philosophy to live by, but it is still about doing things that go contrary to human nature. In Christianity, it is about God changing your nature with His, so that you are no longer tempted to do wrong to others. You will, by nature, do those things Buddhism is known for, and much more.

WHAT IS THE GOOD NEWS ABOUT RELIGION? Is all religion good? There are sincere people in all religions. It is good news that God sees those people and care about them. But sadly, religion has been used for evil ends. ( 2 Corinthians 4:3,4; 11:13-15) According to news reports,  some religions are even involved in terrorism, genocide, war, and child abuse. How this saddens sincere believers on God! Read Matthew 24:3-5,11,12. Whereas true religion glorifies God, false religion displeases him. It teaches ideas that are not in the Bible, including false teachings about God and about the dead. But Jehovah wants people to know the truth about him. Read Ezekiel 18:4; 1 Timothy 2:3-5.  WHAT ID THE GOOD NEWS ABOUT RELIGION? Happily, God is not deceived by religions that claim to love him but are really in love with Satan's world. ( James 4:4) God's Word refers to all false religion as "Babylon the Great." Babylon was the ancient city where false religion began after the flood of Noah's day. Soon, God will bring a sudden end to religion that deceives and oppresses mankind. Read Revelation 17:1,2,5,16,17; 18:8. There is more good news. Jehovah has not not forgotten the sincere people who are scattered among false religions worldwide. He is uniting such people by teaching them the truth.  Read Micah 4;2,5. WHAT SHOULD SINSERE PEOPLE DO? Jehovah cares about people who love what is true and good. He urges them to leave false religion behind. People who love God are willing to make changes to please him. Read Revelation 18:4. In the first century, when sincere people heard the good news from the apostles, they responded with joy. They learned a new way of life from Jehovah, a happier way of life with a purpose and a hope. They are  a good example for us today because they responded to the good news by putting Jehovah first in their lives. Read 1 Thessalonians 1: 8, 9;  2:13. Jehovah welcomes into his family of worshippers those who turn away from false religion. If you accept Jehovah's warm invitation, you will receive his friendship, a new and loving family of fellow worshippers of Jehovah, and everlasting life. Read Mark 10:29,30;  2 Corinthians 6:17,18.  HOW WILL GOD BRING JOY TO VERY LAND?  The coming judgment or false religion is good news. It will bring worldwide relief from oppression. Never again will false religion mislead and divide mankind. Everyone living will be united in the worship of the only true God. Read Revelation 18:20, 21; 21:3,4. For more information JW.ORG. 

Why does a woman who had lost faith in religion now spend much of her time helping others to learn about God? What motivated a man who loved violent sports to become a lover of peace? Simply ask Jesus to take control of your life.....and mean it.

Then seek out a church that will help you to grow in your new faith.   Christianity is not a religion but a relationship.    You are in my prayers 

That is a good idea. Especially, that one weird buddhist rituals, a couple of them freak me out. I was starting to have a real bad time, so Ieft a long time ago and decided to never go back to it. To become a Christian, you repent to God, Yahweh Elohiem, Lord Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. Then you ask Jesus Christ to be your savior and Lord of your life, and to help you and guide you and bless you and send angels to protect you and to give you the Holy Spirit when you are baptised. Best to have someone do it for you, otherwise, you will need to do a michvah bath. Then pray to have The Holy Spirit enter you and that is it. 

It is easy to become Christian.  Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ to have you in heaven when you die.  That easy.  Buddhism leads to hell because it rejects the truths that the Lord Jesus Christ is God and Savior, so get completely away from buddhism.  Here is the truth: The Lord Jesus Christ is God. Nobody can be good enough to avoid hell. The truth is that death leads to immediate heaven or hell, depending only on whether the person believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, or not. The truth is that the Lord Jesus Christ loves you and wants to bless your life freely :) Most of all, Jesus wants you with Him forever, and not in hell. It is too late to be saved, after death.

Believing on the Lord Jesus Christ means being forgiven all sins past and future and means going to heaven. The truth is that every belief except one will lead to eternal torment in the lake of fire for every person. Because nothing pays for our sins except the death and blood of Jesus, the sacrifice of Jesus that is already accomplished by Him . Jesus loves you! The truth is that the Lord Jesus Christ is God, and Jesus died on the cross to pay for all of our sins in full, and then Jesus was buried, and then Jesus resurrected from the dead. Nothing else pays for our sins, not works, not deeds, not religions. So the only way to heaven and to avoid hell, is by believing on Jesus for eternal life (John 6:47), without adding any of your own works (Romans 4:5). Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ to take you to heaven, and you will be in heaven, no matter what, guaranteed. That easy, thanks to Jesus! Tell Jesus that you thank Him that you will be with Him in heaven

You can never become a Christian unless you desire to follow the resurrected Jesus Christ, who now shares Heaven's throne with His Father . You need to know who this Jesus is, so studying the New Testament would be vital. Jesus said that whoever wanted to follow Him must renounce self and pick up their cross daily but that the world does not understand the cross of Christ, despising it, yet that is the power of God unto salvation.

None of that will happen unless God's Holy Spirit first convicts you of your sin before the holy and righteous God. Jesus promised to send the Holy Spirit to do that work of transforming grace. That is when you become a Christian as opposed to following a religious system. Start by praying to God, in the name of Jesus Christ, then begin to read those Bible verses below.
