Yes for ease and convenience, no for the expense and the environmental impact. Cloth diapers are the way to go if you have the time. It might be better to just duct tape a garbage bag around the kid's waist. When the bag gets full take the kid out in the yard to hose them off, put the bag in the trash, and put on a new bag. Depending on capacity you might be able to go for two weeks to a month without changing.
