it was a sit com about 3 guys working in an office, 2 white 1 black, one was handsome, the black dude was muscular and handsome, and the last guy was dorky/nerdy. the nerdy guy was dating the boss’s daughter. and the boss only showed up once or twice but i know he was played by j.k. simons. In one episode the guy who played Earl in My Name is Earl guessed stared. In another episode the guys were making fun of the handsome guy, saying he looked like a villain from a 80's teen movie "my dads gonna close the ski lodge"

I just looked through shows j k Simmons was on, and it looks like you're talking about the show men at work. He's the owner of the company they work at but only is in 5 out of 30 episodes.
