Whenever I see videos of spiders, it's always the females. I've never seen any media that show male spiders catching prey, do they?

Of course males eat but in most cases as adult, they may quit eating, abandon webs to hunt for mates. Usually their last act in life.

Yes, of course they do. If they don't eat they don't grow and eventually starve just like any other animal.
