    Cortana is part of Windows 10 -  Voice Assistance.

    In Earlier Versions of Windows 10 Cortana and Search were one ICON on the Task Bar.

    In the newer versions of Windows 10 they are Separate. One IOCON for Search and a second ICON for Cortana.   Cortana you can talk to and she responds.
