If you mean Kielbasa, then you should know that the Polish word simply means sausage - any kind of sausages. And Poland has more than just one kind of sausage. Which is what Poland was known for even though sausages are common all over the world.
With the exception of those countries that have a traditional prohibition against eating such things as pork or beef, sausages of any kind are popular around the world.

I just learned that "kielbasa" is just Polish for sausage. Never knew that. You may find the Wikipedia interesting. Their kielbasa article doesn't have much. Sausage is an old food:
