    Because they are stupid, and also have lazy owners who have never bothered to train them or socialise them around cats.

    because they run away..anything that will run away from them gets chased..thats why parents tell kids stand still dont run when a dog is in the area...dogs wont chase a cat that sits still

    Because their owners don't socialise their dog with cats, and/or they encourage their dogs to chase cats.........

    My dog doesn't chase my cat, my neighbor's cat or my other neighbor's cats.
