What does this mean? ?

Why does he suddenly act interested? ?

So I have a boss, and we are great as working buddies, but other than that— there wasn’t much to it. We have slowly become better friends, (learned how to better understand each other and communicate better with each other) and this has been just a business relationship. 

I bring 2 of my close friends to work to show them around (they are both male) 

I introduced them to him, and vice versa. My boss was pretty kind, but then out of no where asks me if he can carry my bags to my car? 

(He has never asked to do that.)

I also noticed earlier this evening, we were working on a project and he just stared deep into my eyes. It felt kind of perfect. 

I didn’t at first but gradually it’s been building up. 

Am I over thinking it?

 Why is it when I bring other male friends does he kind of act more interested than before?
