Can an insurance company send a cancellation message by mistake?
I received a cancellation letter from my health plan under Medicaid. I called immediately and asked why I was cancelled. The person said that it was a mistake. Sometimes clerks make mistakes. I have never heard or had a insurance company send a cancellation letter by mistake before. Should I call again and check?

Insurance employees are HUMAN and sometimes humans make mistakes. I would contact them and request a letter indicating the cancellation letter was a mistake and your policy is still in effect.

They can make mistakes. But when you call, they can mistakes or they can lie, because there is no way to prove what they say on the phone. You should not call again. If you need to know something, then you need them to tell you in writing, and not just on the phone.
