Can you plant 2 of the same peony bulbs together? Will they assimilate?

    Yes you can. But no they won't. They stay the same in my yard.

    Yes, and no. You can plant two kinds right beside each other. They will each stay the same as if they were farther apart.

    Source(s): I have 2 kinds of peonies planted together. They have been that way for 7 years or so and each produces the same flower it did the first year.
