Check charging system light comes on?
When I got my car back from the muffler shop to get the exhaust fixed my check charging system light keeps coming on and off rapidly. I checked the cables and they're good.If the alternator was to go bad would it b. all of a sudden

If they did any welding on the exhaust system there's a chance they fried the alternator If they didn't disconnect the battery before welding.

When my alternator failed it did so on and off. A multimeter across the battery terminals will show you what's happening. My bet is it's about to die completely.

Not necessarily. Alternator failure can be sporadic and intermittent.
Like an organ in the body, dysfunction usually comes before failure.
