I'm interested in writing a book that includes brief stories about other people's travels...What kind of 'permission' do I need to get?

And hw do I reference it in the acknowledgment section?

    If you are going to use other people's stories you will probably have to pay them.

    You need each person's written permission on a contract drawn up by your attorney.

    Anything less is asking for a lawsuit if your book is successful.

    I use to read tons of books like that. Check out "Crap Vacations". It should give you a good idea.
