What’s some good LGBTQ Music? ?

Any recommendations for decent or good LGBTQ music? (Bi romantic girl here) I’ve listened to Sizzy Rocket (Song Bestie) and did not like it much. I’ve also heard Pretty Girl by Hayley Kiyoco and Girls Like Girls. My favorite band is Icon for Hire and they are a rock band. (Just to give you some reference on what music I like.) I also find Halsey tolerable.

Since there’s no such thing as LGBTQ, there can’t be any LGBTQ music. Do you know of any good XGTR (ex-gay, transgender and reincarnated) music?

There are a lot of songs that were never necessarily intended to be LGBT+ songs, but if you listen to them the lyrics don't refer to any particular gender and so could just as easily refer to a love interest of the same sex as they do for the opposite sex.  But if you're asking about songs that are very clearly and specifically about LGBT+ people, I don't know of any off the top of my head.

I love Tegan and Sara! But their last album wasn't their best. Some of their newer electro pop stuff is definitely good, in its own way, though. But my favorite part of their career..? Is when they were more alternative and edgy! Not back when they were SUPER folksy, either. Back when they were starting to develop some more pop sensibilities, and catchy melodies, but were still noticeably more indie! So.. basically somewhere in the middle of their career. My absolute favorite album of theirs, that I would recommend THE most, personally..? Is The Con! Holy crap, I love that album SO much. <3

Also, Beabadoobee is bi. And she is awesome! BUT..? She's in a long-term relationship with a guy. So most of her music is about that, and pretty straight, because of it. However..? She's got this one REALLY amazing song, that's all about her crushing on a girl!! Called She Plays Bass. <3 (I've been getting into her a lot, as of lately.)

I do listen to a lot of other artists that I also know to be LGBT / queer. Like.. Panic! At The Disco. Aurora. Amanda Palmer. Austra. Sia. Dead End Amelia. Sick Of Sarah. Etc. But the thing is, with most of them..? Their love / heartbreak songs could really be about anyone, because they usually don't explicitly gender people! And.. that's often a good thing, if you ask me!! I like universally relatable songs. Although Tegan and Sara, I find..? Also have a lot of love songs like that. But DO occasionally choose to explicitly gender their love interest as female, in certain songs. To make a statement, maybe. Or because occasionally, it matters. Or the lyrics make more sense that way. <3
