How can you really define capital? As it seems any asset can be used to enhance your power? Even a stapler can or food in the break room ?

Food fuels your human capital thus enhancing your companies abilities to generate money. A stapler obviously helps that paper work that is gonna help the company make money also.. so I guess I don’t know the difference between an asset or capital or how you can really define capital? Thanks

Capital is defined as a capital goods. So money or securities are not capital in economics. Capital goods mean a factor of production. So it must be at the right side of the production function. Capital goods can be natural or man-made. So human capital is man-made. Human is natural resource. But you can create your own capital in bed.
