What are some good Xmas gifts for parents?

I’m a nanny and always have a hard time at Xmas time. I have no problem figuring out what to get the kids for Xmas since shopping for kids is so easy. But when it comes to getting gifts for the kids parents I can’t think of anything and end up getting stressed out. I’m good with a camera and usually will do some type of picture of the kids for the parents but I have a hard time thinking of what else I can get them. In the past I’ve done the pictures and then throw in a gift card to restaurant, scratch tickets, or a yeti. Also what is a good amount to spend on the parents?  I spend about $50 each on the kids.

I just started a new nanny position this September so I’m still getting to know the parents. So far I know they both like to drink red wine and the mom loves her coffee and tea, lol. Any ideas????

Update:

The mom also loves Amazon, Marshall’s, T.J.Maxx and savers. I barely ever see the dad so I’m not sure what he’s into.

Well just pick things you you think they will like. Me I all year go around and find things I think people will like so at Christmas and birthdays I have something I pull out of the tote

Why are you giving gifts to your employer?  It is usually the employer that gives gifts to the employee.

Honestly, if you spend a lot on the family you work for it could suggest that you get paid too much.  Think less about monetary value and more about keeping it professional.  A photo of the kids is a lovely idea.  Stop there.

Consider redirecting your holiday generosity to a single gift the entire family can enjoy, like :

     a board game

     a yard game

a dvd classic for family movie night

a large basket of candy or fruit

     a holiday ham,...

Giving to the kids is enough.  You don't need to give your employers gifts.  If you must, bake them a banana bread or cranberry bread.
