I 'member when Gore thought that. Trump is still president. That may not be the case come late January, but that's also why I'm not as worried about it as other people. It's not like we don't have a government screwing us over before we find out who will be screwing us over for the next 4 years.

Big difference. After the Florida recount in 2000, Bush only had 5 more electoral votes than Gore (271 - 266). Biden has 76 more electoral votes than trump (290 - 214). Gore won the popular vote by 500,000 over Bush. Biden won the popular vote over trump by more than 4 million votes.
